The King’s Head is run by Mr. Jamie Matts [ Head Chef ] and his team. We open at 9.30 a.m. every day of the week. Tea, coffee, pastries and full breakfast are served until 12 noon.  We then have a lunchtime sandwich menu, a 2/3 course special lunch & evening menu, a bar menu, and a full A La Carte menu. Jamie Matts also prides himself on the vegetarian dishes that are on offer. We use only the freshest of ingredients sourced from reliable suppliers. For instance fish is delivered three times a week from Grimsby and local butchers Nicholson & Sons provide most of the meat. All our desserts are freshly made on the premises.

The King’s Head has gained an enviable reputation for excellence and we are featured in ‘The Which’ Good Pub Guide.  Our aim is to provide you with a first class dining experience. The 50 place restaurant [ Booking on 01636 892341 always advised ] features beautifully laid tableware, napkins & fresh flowers. Above all we hope guests will enjoy our personal service and hospitality.  Some 27 wines from our list are all available by the glass, we also pride ourselves on the way our real ales are kept in perfect cask condition in our bottom cellar.

We can easily cater for parties of fifty and have also received praise for our outside catering at Collingham Memorial Hall where we recently supplied the food and drink for a wedding party of one hundred guests. We have also provided all the catering at a number of private parties within the village. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have a function in mind for the future.
